This is the tale of two couples who were both married in 2009. One we shot and the other passed on a videographer for their day. The latter couple: Lauren & Trey, I met at a neighbor’s dinner party last month.
Married May 23rd in Connecticut, they felt like they were well over budget for video. “Like $9000.00 over, there just wasn’t room” Trey told me ” We honestly didn’t think we’d watch it, but maybe once or twice. Plus we’d booked a top notch photographer and felt we were covered”
“It’s a huge regret” Lauren added “What Trey’s not telling you is he balled like a baby when he saw me. We have the pictures to prove it, but I think a video would have been nice too. That moment and the entire day is a all a blur”.
The other couple is Lori and Rob, a production that we’ll be shipping out this week. I went back and re-edited the moment they see each other for the first time that day. I wanted to feature it more towards Rob’s perspective. His reaction is easily in our top 3 so far this year. But I also want to ask a question: If you knew your FI was going to have this kind of reaction, how much would you pay to have it captured forever? Think about it.
Lori and Rob, it’s a masterpiece. I’ll be in touch very soon:)
enjoy,

I’ve never seen such an emotional first moment with the bride and dad as with JT and Natasha’s wedding. Both Joe and I were wiping our eyes afterwards. I think that’s such a special moment, and just love capturing it.
Natasha, your video is almost done. We should be calling within just a few days! But in the meantime, I wanted to share not only your special moment with your dad, but the subsequent photoshoot.
Enjoy!
Peace,
Dan

Your FI’s reaction to seeing you for the first time on your wedding day is our most important shot. We get all kinds of reactions: smiles, tears even the “dear in headlight look”. What’s the icing on the cake for me as an editor is the best man reaction in the background. This is priceless. As the clip fades you see him look up to his best friend and say “She beautiful man”. (And Lori you were stunning).
Lori & Rob, thanks for letting me tell your story. We still have a few more weeks. Thought you’d like a little a preview of things to come:)
enjoy,

A young lady approached me at a wedding yesterday and said “My sister and I stalk your blog”. I was so flattered. We love to hear that people enjoy watching. In fact there’s actually quite a few Lifecasting blog stalkers out there. Our blog hits have tripled since late March of this year. Thanks for tuning in:)
Meet Ashley & Tom. Ashley was and still is one of our favorite blog stalkers, so this is going to be a nice surprise for her when she checks in…today:) We had so much fun working with you and your families. This is just a quick preview of things to come.

P.S. I love the shot of the flower girl during the photo shoot. Too cute.
P.S.S. We enjoyed working for the first time with Christina from C.J. Photography. You’re way too much fun!

One of our most popular suggestions to B&Gs is to write a letter to each other the night before their wedding. If you feel comfortable enough, we will record the AUDIO ONLY of you and your FI reading the letters. This gives our editors some really cool sound bites to use throughout your production.
Erin and Mark’s letters were from the heart and we have them tell their story in this highlight beautifully produced by Lifetime’s cinematographer Mark Fortner.
Your DVDs are in the mail Erin. We wanted to give you a little preview to help you through the long weekend:)
enjoy,
~mp
