Meet our President-a pre-wedding trailer

March 25th, 2009 - 1:22pm | by Matt Pine

If Lifetime Video had a fan club, Heather would be the President. She and I just clicked on the phone a little over 18 months ago. She paid me one of the highest compliments I’ve ever gotten in the wedding business: She chose Lifetime (specifically me) as the first vendor she booked. In the last 18 months we have spoken a lot about life and her wedding, she’s just a wonderful person to me. I did make suggestions on a few vendors and Heather went on to put together another “Dream Team” with some of Cincinnati’s finest wedding professionals.

In some of my past blog posts, I have written about 5 brides in the last 20 years of business that have change both my life and the course that Lifetime has traveled. Heather is number 6. Her wedding to me was perfect. So many of the shots the Lifetime team and myself captured that day are just breathtaking. I got a great vibe from her new hubby Joe right away along with both the bridal party and both sets of parents. This was a fun day for all involved.

Well, I wanted to give our President a little extra special surprise, so I put together a pre-trailer while I work on the longer version. This is just a little taste of some of the incredible footage we have.

Heather and Joe thanks for everything:)
I hope you enjoy,

~mp

So, what were you doing?-bride & groom prep

March 20th, 2009 - 1:57pm | by Matt Pine

Bridget and Brian got ready less than a block from each other. It’s really nice to be able to go back and see what your significant other was doing while you were getting ready. The Lifetime team had a lot of fun with this wedding that we delivered last week. Look for some of the absoulte cutest kids you have ever seen in a few shots! Also, the amazing and talented Steph Carson has a quick cameo once or twice here too.

enjoy,

“You made us feel so comfortable” – a photo shoot

March 15th, 2009 - 8:44pm | by Dan Shallenberger

Thanks Katie! I love hearing that from my brides. I know that Heather from Chicks that Click, being a bigger part of the photo shoot than me, played a bigger role in making you both comfortable. She was awesome to work with! Also, I checked out your photos… amazing! You guys are such a good-looking couple! There were some real gems in there.

I wanted to share with you a preview from your video. This is the photo shoot at the hotel next door (wow, what a beautiful hotel). I will have your video finished by tomorrow evening, so give Matt a call Tuesday to setup when you can come get your copies.

Get your BRIDEface on!

March 10th, 2009 - 1:14pm | by Matt Pine

One of my favorite peeps on the planet and a wedding vendor we work with more than any other is the amazing make-up artist Nancy Dawson at Brideface.

Nancy is truly one of my best buds in the wedding business and such a great teammate at any wedding. I LOVE to capture natural facial expressions on camera and Nancy helps set the stage for me. Brideface is a team of incredible women who are so talented at what they do. Along with Nancy, there’s Penny, Jenny, Jasmine and Mollie.

The following clip uses a few different weddings from this past year, along with Brideface’s recent Open House at their studio in Covington. Special thanks to Tine Hofman of tmphotgraphy.net for the awesome photographs.

Guess what Linds, it’s done!

March 8th, 2009 - 12:29pm | by Matt Pine

I have had several brides and a few parents tell me about the wonderful feeling they have coming to the Lifecasting blog and seeing their name in the title. One bride told me she screamed at work seeing her production was finished as we announced it here. So right now somewhere in Greater Cincinnati Lindsay Connelly, her new hubby Keith are maybe a little excited.

I can not tell you how truly wonderful this couple was to work with. There are certain weddings I shoot that I feel so welcome, like part of the extended family. This was one.

Everything is ready guys.

I wanted to show you one more thing:

Special shout out to Brian Benton for the intro and close.

Oh the things you’ll miss….

The most wonderful thing a videographer can do for you is be your eyes and ears on your wedding day. The arrival of your guests is something you will not get to see while waiting in the cry room. It’s so nice to go back see all this.

Here is Samantha and Brandon’s wedding opening at St. Gertrude Parish in Madeira, Ohio. We loved working with Steve Lyons again on this one. I saw their photos on your blog Steve, amazing as usual.

By the way, this was a Lifetime team effort with Mark Fortner editing both his and Dan’s footage together.

Enjoy,

“Wishing you a Merry Christmas” – a wedding opening

March 3rd, 2009 - 6:06pm | by Dan Shallenberger

Merry Christmas, a couple months later!

Chris and Natasha, there were so many emotional moments at your wedding. When you first walked down the isle to see your soon-to-be-husband, the vows, and your first dance… just beautiful! It was such a pleasure to be there to capture all those tender moments. But, there was a LOT of fun to be had as well, and you’ll see much of it in your video, which, by the way, is now complete. Call Matt tomorrow to schedule a pickup! And working with Rob & Michelle from Masterworks Photography… awesome as usual!

You requested the song “Gotta Be Somebody” by Nickelback, and I thought that was an awesome choice. I used it for the opening, and wanted to share it with you and all our blog-watchers early!

Enjoy!
